Ingredients
Flat rice/Poha/Avalakki – 2 cups
Onion – 1 medium size- chopped
Potato – 1 small size (cut into pieces and boil till it is half cooked)
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – 5-6
Red chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 3/4 tsp
Salt
Oil - 2 tbsp
Coriander Leaves for garnishing.
Method
Wash the Poha in cold water. Strain it and keep it aside so that it gets soft.
Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds. Once mustard starts spluttering, add curry leaves and onion.Fry the onion well. Add some salt so that the onion fries faster.
Now add Potatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder
and keep frying till potatoes are soft. Flat rice/Poha/Avalakki – 2 cups

Add poha and mix it well with the masala. Check for seasoning.
Garnish it with coriander leaves. You can also add a tsp of lemon juice for taste.
