Green Coconut Chutney

This is a basic coconut chutney which most people in south India make. It goes very well with idly or dosa.
Ingredients
Coconut (pieces or grated) – ½ cup
Coriander leaves – handful
Garlic – 2-3 cloves
Green chillies – 2-3
Tamarind – a pinch
Salt
Gram dal – 2 tbsp (optional)
Water as needed
For Tempering
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – 6-8
Method
Add all the above ingredients into a mixer and first grind it without water. Then add some water and grind into a fine paste.
Take another pan. Heat oil and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter add curry leaves. Toss it and add it to the chutney.
