This is the most commonly made chutney at home. I had this during my college days with neer dosa at a near by eatery. It was made very spicy and tasted yummy with neer dosa. Since then i have been making this quite regularly.
Ingredients
Coconut pieces – 3 tbsp
Roasted Peanuts – 3 tbsp
Garlic cloves – 2 big
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Tamarind – ¼ tsp
Salt
Water
For Tempering
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – 1-2 sprigs
Dry Red chilli – 1-2
Method
Roasted Peanuts – 3 tbsp
Garlic cloves – 2 big
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Tamarind – ¼ tsp
Salt
Water
For Tempering
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – 1-2 sprigs
Dry Red chilli – 1-2
Method
In a mixer add all the ingredients in the list and grind it
into a paste. For tempering, take a pan and heat oil. Add mustard seeds and let
it splutter. Add curry leaves and red chilli. Toss it and add it to the peanut
chutney.
