Yogurt Pepper Fried Chicken

Chicken legs marinated in a mixture of yoghurt and rolled in gram flour and deep fried to perfection. It makes an excellent combination with mayonnaise and tomato ketchup.

Ingredients

Chicken legs – 4
Yogurt – ½ cup
Salt
Crushed Pepper – 2 tsp
Gram flour – ½ cup
Corn flour - 3 tbsp
Oil for frying

Method

In a bowl add yogurt, salt and 1 tsp of pepper. Give it a mix. Add chicken and leave it to marinate for an hour.

Take another wide mouthed bowl. Add gram flour, corn flour, salt and 1 tsp of pepper and give it a mix.  Now take the marinated chicken and roll it in the gram flour mixture. Coat it in all the directions. Deep fry until done. Serve hot with mayonnaise or tomato ketchup.

My Notes

ü  Do not keep the flame too high or the outer coating of the chicken will get browned but the chicken inside will remain uncooked. Always fry chicken on low to medium flame.

ü  You can crush the pepper or ground it coarsely in a mixer. Pepper is the only spice ingredient hence; adjust it according to your taste. You can increase the amount of it if you want it a bit spicier.
