Whenever i make plain dal and rice i like having somethin spicy with it. This stir fry tastes good when made spicy. It goes well as a side dish.
Ingredients
Cabbage – 2 cups – chopped
My Notes
ü This dish is supposed to be very spicy but you can reduce the chilli powder if you do not want it to be spicy.
ü Do not add any water. Do not overcook the veggies.
Ingredients
Cabbage – 2 cups – chopped
Cauliflower – 1 cup – chopped
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Onion- 1 large – chopped
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – 3 tsp (you can use less if you do not want it to be spicy)
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – ½ tsp
Oil – 2-3 tbsp
Salt
Method
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Onion- 1 large – chopped
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – 3 tsp (you can use less if you do not want it to be spicy)
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – ½ tsp
Oil – 2-3 tbsp
Salt
Method
Heat oil in a non stick kadai. Add mustard and cumin seeds
and let them splutter. Add curry leaves and onion. Saute till onion turns
golden brown. Add cabbage and cauliflower. Add salt. Now cover and cook till
done. Make sure the veggies don’t become too soft. You must retain the crunch.
Once it is cooked take out the lid. Add turmeric powder, red
chilli powder and coriander powder. Give it a mix. Now fry it on a high flame
to roast the veggies a bit. Do not burn them. Squeeze in some lemon juice and
take off the heat. Serve hot.My Notes
